Does your charity qualify for support from the KFF?

We are a small family-run foundation with a nucleus of loyal supporters, many of whom were friends or colleagues of Kate. As trustees, our pledge to them is that every penny donated is carefully allocated and that all projects for which we offer funding are closely monitored.

Given our extremely limited resources we can, unfortunately, select only a few from the many applications we receive. This check-list outlines what we see as priorities:

  • A small charity, likely aimed at medical or educational support for vulnerable people or communities (especially women and children), UK or international.
  • A stated purpose for which funding is sought (e.g. the purchasing of a piece of equipment, the cost of a treatment etc). It may be appropriate to submit a list, showing costs of each item, as we may be able to help at different times according
    to circumstances.
  • In some cases we also support initiatives such as staff training or research projects (for example, in the UK we fund a Neonatal Nurses Association bursary).

We welcome applications from all areas of the world. A short summary and proposed budget which includes the pertinent information is preferred, and we would want to establish a clear line of communication that ensures accurate reporting and detailed timelines.

If you are a registered charity who would like to discuss the possibility of funding support from the Foundation, please contact us on the email address below. We regret we are unable to help every cause or individual that applies, but the Trustees will consider every application, keeping in mind the idiom: “What would Kate do?”.

Donors: we would love suggestions about new charities that we could consider supporting, and please let us know if you would like to raise money for the KFF. So far we have bops, runs, triathalons, bike rides, quizzes and treasure hunts… the wackier idea the better, as we know Kate would approve.
