Meet the trustees

The Kate Farrer Foundation is guided by a small group of trustees, including members of Kate’s family.  We  meet regularly to decide where funds should be directed in line with our policies and that  every penny donated is allocated to a cause.

David Jenkins was Kate’s partner and husband for 12 years. He was an original founder of the KFF, has been a trustee throughout, and (together with his wife Jo) leads the fund-raising activities for the Foundation.

During his career David was an owner and Managing Director of an international distribution company and more recently has continued his world travels as an author.

David Farrer, Kate’s elder brother, gives much of his life to supporting worthy causes. One of the original  founders of the KFF, David manages all the financial aspects of the foundation and serves as the vital link between our donors and the charities that we assess and ultimately choose to support.

Thanks to David’s efforts every penny we collect is carefully managed and all parties are kept informed through timely reporting.

Jo Jenkins joined the KFF as a trustee in December 2024, helping with fundraising activities as well as providing the occasional technical support.

She has spent her career working as an IT Project Manager and consultant on projects around the world,  and continues to love travelling and volunteering with her husband, David.

Kate’s niece Lydia Farrer became a trustee in November 2024.  She has long supported the KFF charity since its creation.  Visiting projects in Moldova and meeting charity leaders in Westminster alongside her Dad and trustee Dave Farrer.  She leads up the communications, including newsletters and social media.

Following Kate’s footsteps, Lydia worked at Addenbrookes Hospital before moving to London where she now works for a sports charity, mingling with Olympians and Paralympians.
